Two views of St. Peter's Church, looking good now that major renovations have been completed. The church has a fine ring of 8 bells, but I'm not sure that it has that many bellringers these days. A panel above the entrance states, among other things: "This Church was rebuilt & enlarged in the year 1827, it contains sittings for 873 persons…300 of that number are hereby declared to be free & unappropriated for ever". |

This face was in a very bad state and covered by scaffolding for a long time, whilst renovation took place. There are some fascinating gravestones in the churchyard, including those of many of the Londonderry Familt of Plas Machynlleth. |
