OK. So you're wondering what this site is all about. It's about all thing things that I am interested in, all the dreams, the fantasy, the unusual - it's.....
A place where weird is normal and normality is left behind !
Welcome to "The Real? World".
The Millenium is rapidly approaching and there is all sorts of hype and shennanigans going on. Stuff like, What's your favourite Movie of all time, your favourite Song etc.
Songs, I think, are a little easier and for me it has to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen as it is just mega - so many ingredients !
(OK, so I'm biased, but what did you expect? - it is my home site after all !).
Anyway, movies are an altogether different kettle of proverbial fish.
First you have to categorize. You've got your groupings for Christ's sake!
Here are just a few examples :
- Action
- Adventure
- Comedy
- Cult
- Horror
- Kids/Cartoon
- Romance
- Sci-Fi
And then what about the "cross platform" i.e.Action/Adventure etc. ? God, it just keeps on getting more complicated.
I have looked at what my top movies of all time would be and I think that I am pretty close although I still can't pick my favourite of the lot. It depends what mood I'm in.
OK. Here's my list
- Action: The Terminator
- Adventure: Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Action/Adventure: Highlander
- Comedy: So I Married an Axe Muderer/Hot Shots
- Cult: Pulp Fiction
- Horror: The Exorcist
- Kids/Cartoon: Lion King
- Comedy/Horror: Evil Dead 3 - Army of Darkness
- Romance: Always
- Sci-Fi: Star Wars
There are a couple of new comedies to throw into the pot - Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery and Austin Powers, The Spy Who Shagged Me. Both very funny but I don't think quite
cut the mustard. I am very glad that they have finally given Mike Myers the recognition as a comic and super cool dude that he actually is.
Take a look at my new "Tribute to the 'Man Myers'" page.
E-Mail me your list - if you are so inclined.
OK, you've spent long enough dwelling on that that is imponderable so now it's time to take the plunge.
Go ahead, click on one of the navigation bars on the left. You know it makes sense and you never know where it might take you !
