Welcome
Inclusion and Social Justice Articles provides easy access to useful and interesting things to read on inclusion and social justice. At present the main content is the directory of off-site articles - this provides a direct link to each article, a short account of the article content, and basic details of the site on which it is available. Articles written specifically for this site will be included as they are written or submitted.

Directory of off-site articles
These pages link you to carefully chosen articles, essays, stories (etc)
on other sites. This is the main part of the site.
On-site articles
This small section is for anything that is written just for this site.
Please feel free to submit an article - see notes below.

PLEASE UPDATE YOUR BOOKMARKS AND GO TO THE NEW WEB SITE
You have reached an older version of the www.isja.org.uk site. The new site has continued to develop and includes additional content. This old version will be deleted at an appropriate moment in the future. Please click here: www.isja.org.uk to go to the new site.
News / Information
[November 2006] New article added by Sid Gardner (service quality page). New articles from the Disability is Natural site added to the inclusive education page (Thanks to Michael McSheehan for pointing out this site).
[September 2006] All the links in the directory have been checked, and broken ones fixed. If there's an article you wanted but the link didn't work then chances are you can get it now.
Get involved
Tell me about spelling mistakes, submit articles, brief responses to other articles, suggest links or offer help with the design.
If you are submitting a link perhaps consider including a sentence or two so that this can be included with the link - include your name and brief details (no Hyperlinks) as you wish them to appear.
I will only publish articles and include links if they meet with my approval. This is clearly dictatorial and the site might benefit from some form of peer review process in the future. Let me know if you are interested.
Accessibility
The site is designed to be as accessible as possible - but it is maintained in my spare time and I have only limited knowledge of web design so faults are inevitable. Constructive advice and assistance will be gratefully received. Note the comment about text size below. Users of screen readers may like to know that most links in the directory of off-site articles open a new window (because they go to a page on another web site). Off-site articles will obviously vary hugely in their accessibility.
Text size
If you find the text hard to read because of its size remember that you should easily be able to increase this. Look for appropriate menu options on your web browser, or try holding down (on your keyboard) the ctrl/apple key and pressing + (or - for smaller).
Linking to the site
If you are the author of a web site and wish to link to Inclusion and Social Justice Articles, please note that you are currently viewing the site at an older location. For the moment there are two (identical) versions of the site; one here, and one at www.isja.org.uk Please do not create links to the addresses beginning "website.lineone.net" - but instead link to www.isja.org.uk
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This web site is run voluntarily. Its purpose is to try to make it easier for people seeking texts on inclusion and social justice to find them. No responsibility can be taken for the content of other web sites. Articles accessed through this site are not checked or accessed in any formal way - and it is possible that I may not even have read them. I am assuming that readers are capable of making up their own minds about the validity of article content.
