http://www.chesscorner.com This is a very good site which contains, amongst other things, excellent links to other chess sites and clubs, a forum/bulletin board for discussing chess and best of all a selection of games which you can play through on line or download. Brilliant. There may be a slight pause while the viewing program/games download. If you see a grey rectangle in the centre of the screen then wait a short while.

http://www.gtryfon.demon.co.uk/bcc/Uk_clubs/otheruk.htm This is probably the most comprehensive UK Web Guide that there is currently available. It includes links to many UK chess club sites.

Other good sites which do not have links to Wilmslow Chess Club are given below. I have tried to keep the list short as there are many ways of accessing hundreds of sites on the web. Just typing "chess" into any of the main search engines will give you a flood of sites to check out, as would checking the links from any of the links given here.

http://www.chesslab.com/PositionSearch.html This is an excellent search facility of 2 million chess games. When your opponent leaves even your specialist opening books behind it is still possible to find several similar games here played through to their conclusion. I would say that this is my number one favourite site.
