A warm summer night in July 2002 saw a large crowd entertained by Soul Solution and
Fabba [an Abba soundlike band].It was a great evening.
Just before building work started on a new housing estate a short `dig` was permiited.
Finds included a 17/18th centruary kiln, a Roman [?] graveyard and many tools
and items of jewelery.
As part of Thetford`s 800th celebration of being made a mayor town [by Richard I]
a battle that `might` have taken place between the Saxons and Normans was re enacted on
the gound of Castle Hill.
Why not pop along to the pub,climb into a cage,be hoisted approx 100
foot into the air and jump ! The jumps took place in the car park
of the Bridge PH in July 2002.I do have video clips of the screams !

As another part of Thetford`s 800 years of having a mayor there was a
diplay by the horsegaurds and the Welsh guards.
Most years in the town there is a mini steam rally,this was was in 2002 and
held in a local car park.

A great day with some great weather.The event took place on June 21st,2003.

Heres are some collages that have been made from scanned collages,these are not
so high quality and were made using Picture It.
A popular TV show was filmed in and arround the town.The series was about the
Home Guard which would have defended the UK in the event of an invasion during
the Second World War.A museum dedicated to the series was oppened at nearby
Bressingham and a parade of the vehicles and actors took place inThetford in
June 2000.
To mark the opening of a new car and bike shop a display was held by a
BMX bike display team.
Summer 2001 and on a very hot day Misty and Jessie take a dip in the lake at
the Nunery Nature Reserve.
