'Once Upon a Time' - The Brothers Grimm

Fraiser Romanov escaped the tyranny of the Inner Imperium in late 197. His surveyor class ship, Jabberwocky, was quickly upgraded through trading to the larger Heavy Cruiser and it was with this ship that the explorations of the Solo system by the Romanov Family were begun. The discovery of hermadite on the planet Exile soon meant that a larger ship was required for colonisation purposes and Jabberwocky was upgraded to a Frigate.

With the colonies on Exile now established, Jabberwocky will soon be upgraded one last time. It is only right that the patriarch of the Romanov Family should command the jewel of the Detinus Republic space fleets, the Nebulon.

Joining his brother Fraiser in early 198, Niles Romanov soon established a name for himself in the DTR. Initially sent deep into enemy territory, Niles uncovered various secrets that certain affiliations may wish kept quiet.

Niles' career as a covert operative was however cut short due to other family needs. Currently in charge of RFH's trading division, Niles uses his legitimate cover to increase the size of RFH's intelligence files.

Niles' main trading partner is the CIA but he refuses to say what he trades with them!

Roz Romanov is captain of RFH's deep explorer, Masquerade. Currently assigned to missions within the Detinus periphery, Roz was forced to help the Homesystem Defence Force during recent RIP activity.

Moose Romanov is the captain of RFH's second carrier Under New Ownership, which is a story in itself.

Moose Romanov is rumoured to be part Dewiek.

Martin Romanov is most recent Romanov to join the fight for human liberty. Current commanding a GP in the Detinus periphery, Martin is helping to answer some of the riddles that the Venice system has to offer.

Daphne Romanov started her Detinus career in a spectacular fashion when the yacht she was commanding lost two crew during planetary investigations. With a brilliant piece of solo flying, she managed to reach the safety of Detinus space before the ship was further damaged.

She next tried the relative safety of the Trading Division only to be fired at with Luxury Foodstuffs by SQM Windhooks in what should have been a simple trading deal. However, the SQM's apology for the mistake helped to finance several RFH upgrades and ignoring the mottled effect caused by the usual missiles, her ship was undamaged.

With all this bad luck, Daphne was surprised when a chance detour resulted in contact with an unusual alien race. The resulting pulse generator was redundant in her trading vessel and RFH decided with her 'combat' experience and calm under difficult circumstances, she was the ideal candidate to take command of a Nebulon Class Warship. Of course, the pulse generator did not sway this decision in any way!

Bulldog Romanov is currently waiting his first command of a RFH vessel.

I make no apology about the fact that all the Romanov clan are named after actors and characters in Frasier, my favourite US comedy.
