I was first
introduced to mountains of Scotland when I was a youngster by a local
Scout troop. We tramped the hills around Glen Esk in Angus on numerous
days and weeks away at all times of the year. What made the hills so interesting
was the introduction to the wildlife and natural history that those trips
gave me. The Glen was a wonderful playground for a bunch of young lads
and I feel incredibly privileged that I was able to do things which today's
kids are deprived often of.
Since then
I've wandered the hills and glens all over Scotland and what is contained
in these pages is just a sample of the things I've done over the past
30-odd years. There are many, many pictures sitting in boxes waiting to
be re-discovered and scanned, and when I've done a bit more scanning,
I'll add some gallery pages to this part of the site. In the meantime
either click on the headings below or select from the map, the area you
are interested in.
