James Reynard – Director / Charles Surface

Age – over 30

Born Alderney (Channel Islands) , now lives in N. London

James loves real ale, but hates celery (which means he eats all the carrot sticks at parties)

His favourite role is whatever he is in at the moment, and he cites as has heroes the England Cricket Team and Clint Eastwood.

His desire is to star in a Western movie – The Magnificent First 11.

Jayne Lloyd – Producer / Lady Sneerwell

Age – a little older than her teeth

Born and living in Gloucester, of Welsh parents

Hates spiders, loves cats. (Fortunately cats catch spiders).

Her hobby is sewing (as she is the company wardrobe mistress it’s more of a second job)

Her hero is Judi Dench, and her claim to fame is having played virtually the entire Holby City Hospital staff in ‘Casualty’ at one time or another.

Natasha Hall – Lady Teazle

Age – 30 something

Born in and lives in Eltham, S. London (where Bob Hope was born!)

She hates butterbeans

Her hobby is the 1930’s swing dance ‘Lindy Hop’, which she instructs in.

Tash’s hero is Mark Rylance.

Nansi Hywel-Davies – Mrs Candour

Age – 20 something

Born in Cuckfield, Sussex, brought up on Dartmoor and now lives in London.

She loves beer, curry, and cake.

Carole Carpenter – Maria

Age – 20 something else

Born in Harrogate, now lives in N. London

She hates watermelons and being cold, loves cats and sparkly things.

Her hobbies involve playing the piano and going for long walks (but not usually at the same time, or if it’s cold).

Carole would like a starring role in the Sci-Fi series Stargate SG1, and also work in the National Theatre (but not as an usherette).

Pippa Meekings - Blockhead

Age – sadly, still under 21

Born and lives in Gloucester, where she is studying for her A levels.

Pippa spends most of her life when not studying, eating or sleeping, at her dance school practising ballet, tap and modern dance.

Her most ambitious wish in life is to become and extremely rich and big headed movie star so that she can look back at her life back in the UK and remember what life used to be like when she worked for a living.

She hopes to go to drama college next year, after getting 3 grade A’s in her exams, and a large hat.

David Middleton – Sir Peter Teazle

Age – 40 something

Born, bred and still lives in Cardiff, a large town West of Bristol.

David hates English licensing laws, loves wine tasting and Buster Keaton movies.

David has a phobia of osteopaths and wheelchairs, ever since he fell off a Cardiff pavement outside a late-night wine bar last summer, broke his leg and spent 3 months in plaster.

Rupert Mason – Joseph Surface

Age – 30 something

Born in Chorley, Lancs., now lives in N. London

Rupert loves egg & chips and likes cupboards (cupboard love?)

His favourite role was Hamlet, (but he doesn’t smoke).

Rupert’s hero is also Buster Keaton, plus Alec Guiness (which he doesn’t drink).

Brian Knight – Sir Oliver Surface

Age – over the hill.

Born in London, now lives in Exmouth, Devon.

Brian loves playing the guitar and his wife.

He hates political correctness.

He would like to make an action hero movie.
