The service is designed to be able to support Common worship using either a traditional organ accompaniment or a worship band or both. |
It begins with the Kyrie , or Lord have mercy. This can be used during Lent and Advent in place of the Gloria, or used in addition to it during the rest of the year. |
The Gloria is to be sung with a driving pace. The middle section, "Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father" should be sung at a lesser dynamic, returning to a more triumphant volume at "You are seated at the right hand of the father". |
There follow two short responses for the Gospel to which the priest's part need not be sung. |
The Creed follows. It should be sung in a purposeful way, more a profession of faith than a reflection on it. |

The Eucharistic Prayer begins with a dialogue between Priest and People. The Lord is here |
The prayer continues with the congregational 'Holy, Holy, Holy Lord' |

The Eucharistic prayer concludes with a rousing chorus 'Blessing and honour and glory and power'. |
Finally a quiet reflective 'Lamb of God' brings the setting to a close. |
