Lockley Bower Engineering Services Ltd.
The company started in 1977 as Lockley Bower & Co., when Don
Bower took over the premises and machinery of an existing engineering
business in Herne Bay Kent.
In 1979 the company expanded and moved to Whitstable where major
investment was undertaken in new machinery these were installed in
the new premises.
In 1984 the company underwent a subtle name change to better reflect
its abilities , Lockley Bower Engineering Services Ltd.
By the end of the 1980's the company had outgrown the premises in
Whitstable and to meet higher standards of work and working
conditions the move was made to a purpose built factory.
In the early 1990's Russell Bower was appointed Managing Director and
the decision was made to add C.N.C machining to our capacity list ,
since then investment has been ongoing.
In September 1999 Don Bower retired from the company leaving Russell
Bower as Chairman and Managing Director.
The company has a strong customer base supplying a vast range of
components primarily to the electrical , electronics ,
hydro-pneumatic , brewing , control equipment and motor manufacturing industries.
Looking towards the future the company intends to expand its customer
base and strive for total customer satisfaction through high quality
components delivered on time and at the right price.
