FCSA is an active group of enthusiastic artists who meet regularly to share their enjoyment of art. The society was originally formed in 1961 by a small group of artists and art lovers, with advice from the late Professor Carel Weight CH, CBE, RA.

Until his death on 12 June 2005 the Society's President was Mr James Winterbottom ex-Head of Fine Art at West Surrey College of Art and Design. Members' thoughts

We are delighted to be able to welcome Graham Scandrett, artist and tutor and erstwhile principal of France Hill Drive Adult Education Centre, as our new President.

The Society has up to 200 members drawn from all walks of life and the areas of North West Surrey, North East Hampshire and South East Berkshire. There is usually a short waiting list for membership.
