Coaching  - Letters not written by Graham Leroy.  Proposed that copy of letter be sent to clubs with minutes.

Finance

Balance - General Account   Exceeds expenditure by £1,600   Used £2,300 of coaching grant.  £600 down over the year and this will increase. Coaching grant £2,670  to be spent.   Shortfall which will be used up is approximately £100.    £900  Road Running  Levies.     Entry fees for County Championships and expenditure on  medals & coaches

Track  & Field made a  £200 profit.

£90 for sale of hooded tops

Track & Field

Championship a success    Thanks to Ipswich Harriers for helping to raise the money they did.   Highlight of day a National Scottish Record   Tom Dobin – Javelin .   Presentation to Phil Tomkins from County for 50 years as an official.  There will be a major presention to Phil at Crystal Palace on Friday .

A Citation has been written about Phil.   Chris Carter said we should send it to him and they will then do something about.

Cross Country

Letter from Cliff Robinson – UK Intercounties 2004.   March 6^th 2004.   Suffolk championships in the balance.  If we go for 3^rd January the selection will be on current form only.

South of England Intercounties 6^th December 2003  at Stowe School, Bucks.

Inter Counties 10k Road Running Championships 2003 Sunday 5^th Oct  2003 at Bourton on the Water.

Nothing else to report.

Coaching

Dates now available for coaching courses.   Most of Ray Wells’ is time spent with Active Sport.  County should be supporting this.   Dealt with through Active Sport Committee.  Targets have to be realistic.  Active Sport will pull in other people.  Outside our County remit and we have no control over it.  Wait and see how it goes.  Proposal by Ray Wells  that we pledge £150.  This goes towards matching funding to match the bid.  Ray will be reporting back to us at committee meetings.
