Minutes of the Executive Committee Meeting held  on  Friday 26 November 2004

At Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, Stowmarket.

A minutes silence was observed for Sandra Cheatham who had passed away suddenly.  Sandra was a long serving officer for the sport and will be sadly missed.

Finance

List of paymentsWe are down by £610 and another bill for the coach has to be paid.

 

 

5.

Track & Field

Tony Cheatham has volunteered to take on Track & Field.

County Championships will be on 15th  May 2005.  The track has been booked.  The cost will be £60 per hour.  Entry Fees were agreed at £3 per event across the board.

Race Walking

No report.

 

 

7.

Cross Country

Must complete entire forms all age categories? Incorrect date on website and this has been corrected. Courses, timetable etc has been sorted for the 16th  January 2005.   Course will be built on the Saturday.  Officials invites will  go out on Tuesday.   Special parking ticket for all.

Road Running

Results of Felixstowe Half Marathon.

 

 

 

9.

Sports Hall Athletics

Marilyn Keymer reported that a full team of U11’s  consisting of 15  boys and 15 girls were taken to Norwich for the regional competion.  The Suffolk teams took 5th place.   There were some excellent individual results.  Dave Miller has been or will be appointed to promote Sportshall Athletics in the county.  Thanks to Ian Blythe who has taken on a lot of the work for Sportshall this year.

 

 

10.

Officials

A lot of officials have not sent in their duty sheets.  Tony will chase these up.  Letter coming out to all officials in the next fortnight with regard to updating their database. Two questions:-  1] Do you want to and 2]  Do you mind your details being available to the South of England.

Coaching

Active Sports

£17,553 has been approved     Gwyn Potts has taken £1,000       Coaching Sessions will then be available.

Correspondence

Road Running – UK CAU Intercounties Half Marathon   Sunday 13th  March  2005 at  Hastings.

Association of British Athletics  - 9 clubs in steering committee.
