Problems with their constitution. No health and safety and no child protection. Using track without permission. Draft the constitution for him and get training sorted out. All members 2nd Claim. Appointed a child protection officer and has been in contact with the Manager at Ipswich. Need amended constitution. Forward constitution to SEAA. They should apply to this association to SCAA and EAA. Vests have Suffolk on them now. |

Track & FieldCounty Championships well supported Average turnout 31/32% Better than last year. Senior Athletes very poor turnout. 19 Senior Entries 3 Senior Women Generally numbers of competitors are declining. New rules will make this worse. Phil Tomkins will investigate this. What has been happing with 5k championships? Usually a race between Pacers and Ipswich Jaffa. Usually held 2 –3 weeks after our championships. Not well supported, as nobody knew about the race. This was held on 26 April 2004. Karin Mead asked if we could do our own race. No trophies presented. No money forwarded to County. We cannot recognise it as a championship. Clive Bird wants to know whether this event is verified. All agreed that this was not authorised by the County. Sandra Cheatham will take this on. 21st June 2004 - 7.30 pm 5K. Sandra will organise the publicity. Website will have details of this put on by Paul Felton. Entry Fee £3 Some of the rules for athletes have changed in the Handbook. |
