Track & Field

Entry forms are now ready for the County Championships Entry fees up: £2.75  for seniors.      All others £2.25.   Closing date for entries  Tuesday  23 April 2002.  The date for the Championships is 12 May  2002.

Sportshall Athletics

Area Competition tomorrow 16 February 2002.   Picked a team to take part.  Trouble with getting information  sent to Tony Cheatham.    We have a Certificate  to permit us to hold sportshall event at beginning of this month.       Certificate  for 12 month up to end of December.   Hold Championships in late November early December.       County Championships needed.    Better held in January 2003.  Co-op Bob Duncan on to the Sub Committee for.      Marilyn Anness  to  ask  Bob Duncan. Hazel Wilson to act as liaison  for Sportshall Athletics.The Regional Competition is at Norwich on Saturday 16 March 2002.

Finance

Income - County Entries  £456.00.    Two cheques for  Cross Country Entry Fees – Road Levies.   £240     Expenses in respect of coach Nottingham   £340.   Cross Country Medals £30.    Bus money from Coach handed over by Karin Mead.    Proposal on the cards that the 50%  we get of levies will be cut back to 45% for one year only.

Coaching

ECC Coaching Secretaries meeting at Norwich.

Do some mentoring of coaches.  Names of coaches on Website?

Karin Mead passed on coaching fund to Ray Wells.

Paul Felton willing to carry on with Website.    Many pages awaiting information.

Officials

Sandra Cheatham is trying to arrange a timekeepers course.   If anybody is interested in taking officials courses or exams, please let Sandra know.

10 Mile Suffolk Race Walk Championships  Chigwall  next week.   Jerry wants medals for this.

Congratulations to the athletes who did so well at Nottingham.   We have never done so well. Teams did excellently.
