The BAWLA Leader Certificate
Introduction
The Leader Certificate offers basic instruction in progressive resistance
training using free weights and exercise machines.
Emphasis is placed on health related fitness and the role of progressive
resistance training in its development.
The course material and practical work will be found to be particularly suitable
for use in Sports Centres, Fitness Clubs etc.
Successful Candidates receive
a) a certificate & badge
b) membership for the year in which the certificate is obtained
c) public liability cover

Practical Assessment
Demonstration of the power clean
Demonstration of basic exercises with both free weights and machines
( emphasis on teaching ability not strength )
Written Examination on course material only.
