SCEM Week by week prayer points

If my people will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will heal their land.

April
22 - 28 April Thank God for the work done among the children of the churches that were visited by SCEM during last summer.   Pray for the continuing children's work in the three churches visited, and for the ongoing children's work in your church.          Matt 19 v13-15.
May
29 April - 5 May Please pray for this land of ours, at this time when so many are being affected by the outbreak of foot and mouth disease.                                                                      2 Chronicles 7 v14
6 - 12 May Thank God for the churches at Kirkintilloch and Kilnside who will be having SCEM teams this summer.    Please pray for all the plans and preparations taking place, that Jesus will be at the centre of what is being done.                                   2 Chronicles 5 V14-21
13 - 19 May On Sunday afternoon a group of  people who have been involved with SCEM in recent years, are meeting together to discuss changes that could be made to allow SCEM to continue to be effective and relevant in its outreach.   Please pray that as a group we would be wise in our discussions and in any decisions that are made, and that it would all be to God's glory.                                                                       Ephesians 5 v15-17
20 - 26 May Please remember the SCEM committee as the monthly meeting is held in Glasgow.  Pray especially for Carrie Dornan and Gail Mackay, committee members.
27 May - 2 June Thank God for those who are willing to sacrifice time over the summer months to serve God through SCEM.    Pray especially for the houseparents Ken and Norma, and Jim and Anne, and the cooks, and they deal with the practical aspects of the missions.                                                                        Hebrews 9 v11 -14
June
3 - 9 June Please pray for the bible teachers, Colin at Kirkintilloch and Ken at Kilnside, that they would know God's blessing as they prepare and deliver the message that God has placed on their hearts for the specific missions.                                        1 Timothy 3 v8-16
10 - 16 June Thank God for the team members already signed up to both missions.   Please pray that other team members will come forward.  Please pray that while serving God, team members would be encouraged and uplifted, and will use their individual gifts to God's glory, and function well together as a team.                                                                 1 Corinthians 12 v14-26
17 - 23 June Please pray for the last committee meeting on Monday night, before the committee breaks for the summer.   Thank God for each committee member and pray that all the organisation and work done for Him throughout the year would all be to God's glory.                                                                                1 Peter 4 v11
24 - 30 June Please pray for the children's and youth workers in Kirkintilloch and Kilnside.   Pray that their ministry would be effective and that through them and the team, souls might be won for the Lord this summer.
