If anyone said that it's a quiet life in Cornwall, they're kidding, look at just some of the fun-stuff we get up to, here at the Schoolhouse, night and day.
And there's our annual festival - Morvah Pasty Day! held on the first Tuesday in August

Social Days |
The Mafia Club meets every Monday afternoon.
We don't mean the fellas with violin cases and spats, we mean Morvah Action for Fun In the Afternoon. Everyone gets together to indulge in a spot of cooking, hair dressing, bingo, quizzes, trips, talks.
| Film nights |
Where we screen films by local directors and film makers, drama, documentary, music video, experimental. Always a great programme of work by a wealth of Cornish film making talent.
| Music Nights |
Local composers premiere their new work at our 'Music Gallery' sessions. And twice a year or so, a traditional male voice choir turn up to sing old Cornish songs and entertain their committed band of fans.
| Poetry Nights |
We've had poems on chocolate, on the weather, on the wild life, on falling in and out of love, on the sea, on the moonlight, on the pains of modern living. And some of them even rhyme!
| Storytelling Nights |
'It was a dark and stormy night' but who cares when you can cosy up in the Schoolhouse and listen to stories both funny and moving. We've worked with lots of writers and heard tall stories about growing up in Manchester, mermaids, Muslim warriors, lying in hospital and losing car keys.
| Theatre Nights |
We hold various plays and musical evenings during the winter months,please phone us for details.
| Talking Night |
Diverse subjects such as modern witchcraft, homeopathy, bats and otters. There's lots of opportunity to discover something new, and say to your friends 'Well, I never knew that!'
