When and Where

Lecture meetings are normally held on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Finchampstead Memorial Hall. The December meeting is normally held a week earlier. See programme page for full details

Meetings start promptly at 7.30pm, and generally finish about 9.30pm, dependent on the individual speaker. Normally there is a coffee break half way through. Lectures are free to SEBA members. Visitors are welcome, but are asked to pay a fee.

Directions to Finchampstead Memorial Hall

The postal address of the hall is "The Village, Finchampstead, RG40 4JU". Note that "The Village" is the name of the road.

The hall is next to the playing field known as "The Park".

If you have an Ordnance Survey map (Landranger 175 or Explorer 159), you will find the hall on the north side of the B3348 about a quarter of a mile west of the junction with the B3016 at grid reference SU793632.

There is a large car park beside and behind the hall.

From Wokingham
Take the A321 in the direction of Sandhurst. At the roundabout by the large Ford garage take the right fork onto the B3016. Keep straight on across a roundabout and then a double mini-roundabout. Approaching Finchampstead, keep sharp right at the war memorial and in a quarter of a mile keep right again on the B3348. The hall is on the right in about a further quarter of a mile, at the end of the playing field.

From Bracknell or Crowthorne
Approach Finchampstead on the B3348. Turn left at the war memorial and in a quarter of a mile keep right on the B3348. The hall is on the right in about a further quarter of a mile, at the end of the playing field.

From Eversley Cross
Approach Finchampstead on the B3016. At the T junction turn left on the B3348. The hall is on the right in about a quarter of a mile, at the end of the playing field.

From the M4
Leave the M4 at junction 10 and take the A329(M) towards Bracknell. Leave the A329(M) at the first exit and at the roundabout turn towards Wokingham on the A329. In the centre of Wokingham fork left in front of the town hall onto the A321, then follow directions as above.

From the M3 (from the south west)
Leave the M3 at junction 5 and take the B3349 to Hook. In Hook turn right on the A30. Pass through Hartley Wintney and in 1 1/2 miles turn left on the A327. Take the first right onto the B3016 (road soon becomes narrow and twisty). At T junction at Eversley Cross turn left onto B3272. After green on right turn right onto B3016 again, then follow directions as above.

From the M3 (from London direction)
Leave the M3 at junction 4a and take the A327 towards Yateley. At roundabout go straight across A30, still towards Yateley. At roundabout in Yateley, turn left on B3272. At Eversley Cross after green on right, turn right on B3016, then follow directions as above.

Other Information

The hall is easily accessible from the front by a few steps or a short ramp suitable for wheelchair use.

The hall has a modern sound system including a loop facility.
