This book was published at the time of the Cameron film.
For some reason I have never taken to this book. It is not particularly well
written, but neither is it particularly bad in it's text. There are some
interesting documents and photographs reproduced. It is very similar in layout to
Anatomy of the Titanic and is published by the same company.
Illustrations are provided by Stuart Williamson and Simon Fisher, who is an artist
who I have always found to produce absolutely stunning lithographs of Titanic, or mediocre ones.
Here I felt that the majority of the pictures were mediocre, and this was a let
down as I know he can produce some marvellous work.
I bought the book for the sake of completeness, but to be honest I feel that
there are many more worthwhile publications available for almost £17/$25US.
