The master of them all, Walter Lord returns to the subject with this offering.
In my opinion the book is not as good as A Night to Remember,
but it is written in a different style. In this book are a series of chapter's
that each deal with a specific aspect of the tragedy, and what has been learnt since ANTR,
from discussing if ships had simply become too big, too quickly, on to discussing if 'Nearer My God To Thee'
was the last song played by the ships orchestra.
Lord's writing style is as fluid and gripping as ever, and this is a worthwhile addition to your library, complimenting
the previous offering nicely.
One word of warning, as always this book does have some mistakes, but this does not detract
from it. It is always best to have multiple sources confirm the same thing.
