A beautifully presented little book, and a good addition to anyone's library.

As the title would suggest, this book details not only with the canadian passengers that were embarked upon Titanic, but the impact of the disaster upon the nation as a whole. It is in these areas that the most fresh and rewarding research is now being undertaken. The Titanic story as a whole cannot be readilly added to; it is in the smaller, more personal stories that new work can be done, and it is here that Mr Hustak is leading the way.

The text is illustrated throughout with photographs of the people being discussed, and whilst some of these, such as the picture of Trevor and Loraine Allison are well known, the majority are not.

Also included are appendices detailing the arrangements at the Halifax cemeteries and brief details of the 130 passengers bound for Canada

Of the several human interest books that have been written over the past few years, this is in my opinion the best, certainly to be compared with 31 Norwegian Destinies.
