Judith B. Geller is the wife of Arnie Geller, who was the founding president of
RMS Titanic Inc. the company who holds the title of salvor in possession of Titanic.
She was in charge of the marketing for the Titanic exhibition at The National
Maritime Museum in the UK in 1994-1995.
The book is an extremely well researched piece on, as the title would suggest, the women and children
of Titanic. Illustrated throughout with period photographs, and some from the present
day, it enables the reader to look into the eyes of someone whom they have read
so much about. It also shows some of the large number of objects recovered from the site.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the human side of the disaster,
I would only say that if you are fiercely anti-salvage you may not want to pay someone
who is so involved with the company in charge of recovering artefacts. This is in
effect what you do when you purchase such a book.
I am attempting to be unbiased: a meticulously researched book, but with the
proceeds going to a person heavily involved in salvage attempts on the wreck.
