| Shaky's
makes No.2 in Channel 4's "Top
Ten Years of 1981" screened
today, held off by Adam Ants. The program included
interviews with Shaky's producer Stuart Colman and also
former manager Paul Barrett as well as a Shaky interview
from 1988. Some of the footage was great too, including film from the "Elvis Musical" rehearsals. Celebrity fans interviewed even included Sir Tim Rice and guitar legend Duane Eddy. Tim said "Shaky was the one that made it for me. He danced well, he moved well and he had great hair, that's all you need". |

| Yes folks, it's true,
Danish pop group Aqua
have performed a tribute song to Shakin' Stevens. Last week on a televised interview Aqua (who had a number one hit with Barbie Girl) announced they are changing they music style to become less pop orientated and had performed a Shaky tribute song. I'm currently looking into the possibility of a release date for the song. The Band performed "Shakin' Stevens" live on the 1st July at the Roskilde Fetival in Denmark. Other guests at the festival included Robbie Williams, Guns NRoses and Bob Dylan. www.aqua.dk/ |
