re: Staunton Harold Hall - 08.10.06

Dear Paula

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for such a wonderful day and my special thanks goes to the hunt master who looked after us towards the back of the pack, he was very helpful and made sure that everybody had a good time.  I thoroughly enjoyed the day and hope to join you again soon.

Thanks

re: Staunton Harold Hall - 08.10.06

We just wanted to drop you a note to thank the whole team at Readyfield Bloodhounds for the brilliant hound exercises you have put on for us this season. We managed to get to all but one of the meets and thoroughly enjoyed every one. We must admit though, that you certainly saved the best till last. Staunton Harold yesterday we excellent, and although it was such a big field everything still seemed to run as smoothly as always!!!

Thanks again for all your hard work & effort. Look forward to seeing you all at the opening meet although we will be on foot for the first one!!!

Ann & Helen.

re: Staunton Harold Hall - 08.10.06

I would just like to say what a great day we had yesterday at Staunton Harold. It was my youngsters and mine first time.
My horse really enjoyed himself and we ended up at the front most of the time.

Everyone was very friendly and it was very well organised.

So a huge thank you for a great day and great jumps!!

Regards

Karen

re: Carr Bank Farm - Farnsfield - 01.10.06

Hi Paula

Just wanted to say thank you so much for today and if you could thank Freddie for me as well, for looking after me I didn't get chance on the way home. Me and my friend both had a brilliant time and will definitely come again when you are local, we might see you at the Readyfields open day if your going to be there, again thank you so much.

regards

re: Nether Handley - 10.09.06

Hi, just a quick note to say thank you for such GREAT ride today.  It was mine and my horses first time on a 'real' exercise, we've been on a couple of ambles but this truly got the blood flowing for both of us, I really can not remember when we last enjoyed ourselves so much.  I am not a jumper, and my horse is 20 years old so we tend not to push that side of it all too much, but even we did a couple (though some were because he wanted to....) my favourite being the last hedge to the field where all the boxes and trailers were!

Anyhow thank you for such a great first memory of hound excising..... my transport to venues is quite limited but I'm certainly left hungry for more.  Hoping to see you all soon.

Thanks again
Michelle and Sovereign

re: Cavendish Lodge amble - 09.08.06

Just to say thank you to all those that organised this ride and especially to the Shaw-Browne family for making it possible. We were very impressed with the organisation and friendliness of everyone especially as it was the first time that my friend and I had been to one. Both the horses and ourselves enjoyed the night and are looking forward to coming out with you again soon. We have already spread the word about the fantastic time we had.
Many thanks  again
Ali

re: Cavendish Lodge amble - 09.08.06

Hi just to say a huge thank-you from a 'first-timer'.  My friend Alison and l joined your team for what was a super and exciting time. The organisation is excellent everyone really friendly.  We  found the atmosphere relaxed but structured.  We were a little anxious when we set off as neither of us had ridden in such a large group before but we were soon laughing and it was lovely to see our horses so happy and excited.  I hope l will be lucky enough to join you again maybe this time a might try the optional canter, as the owner of the equine version of Rita queen of speed l gave it a miss on Wednesday.....braver next time l hope.
Once again thank-you for such a wonderful opportunity and thank-you to the Shaw-Browne family for allowing me to share their home.

Hope to see you all again

re: Puppy Show - 29.07.06

Dear David

I thought the Puppy Show was a success.  Everything went well, a lot of work as usual goes off behind the scene.  Nice to see so many Bloodhound people there.  I enjoyed my day.

Yours Leonarda

re: Osberton Estate - 23.07.06

Just to say what a lovely afternoon this turned out to be. The weather was not too hot, and the ride was well organised and conducted with consideration to the hard ground conditions. What a shame that not as many people turned up as last year. Although the number of participants was small, everyone appeared to have a good time. Hot dogs and burgers were super. Well done to all who organised it.

Dear David

Many thanks to you and to all the Masters for a great seasons hunting.

Despite me having a bit of a tumble! at the opening meet, to get a free ride in a helicopter, (though I can't remember a blooming thing).  Both of us have had a really good time.

As we know it is such hard work putting on a meet and for you all to continue all season putting in the hours and time every weekend is truly amazing.  It is great that we have opened up new meets and it makes hunting much more exciting when you do not know which way you will be going , or which jumps will be coming up.

The hounds have been a credit to you this year as always, and I am sure if we go any faster we will be able to race them around Southwell!

Could you please pass our thanks on to the others and look forward to seeing you at the ball>

Fondest wishes

Angie & Paul

Dear All

Just to say a big thank you to absolutely everybody involved in making your meets happen, for an overall fantastic experience during the past season. I was a Readyfield virgin and now have a few ridden and a few following experiences under my belt. Each time has been tremendous. I’ve found the Readyfield a most welcoming and easy going hunt, which has built my horses’, and my confidence no end. And I’ve had a good laugh which is always a bonus at those moments when you’re terrified! I’ll definitely be back for more next season.

By the way, thanks also for the lovely slap up feast (especially the cake!) at the end on Sunday. Lots of people were blown away by your hospitality.

See you again.

re: Travelers Rest - Apperknowle - 18.02.06

Just a quick e-mail to say thank you for a wonderful day at Apperknowle on Saturday.  We had a fantastic time and have been buzzing ever since. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and it was brilliant fun. The last run of hedges was amazing, even if we did have a wipe-out at the last one! Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained!

 Will definitely be coming again!

re: Broomhill Grange - Edwinstowe - 07.01.06

Having been a follower for about 18 months (bringing my daughter), I decided I fancied ‘having a go’ on a hunt myself, but suffered a few failed attempts to get to one. On Saturday, I finally made it on our seasoned cob, with my daughter on the new horse, and now I know why she’s hooked! Many thanks to the organisers for arranging the extra date, especially one for ‘newbies’, to Jane and Robert for letting it happen at short notice and for the hot soup (and cake), and also to the nice people who helped Audrey change the tyre so fast I didn’t get chance to help (I was too busy looking at the photos - there were some really good ones!).

Can’t wait for my next one!

re: Broomhill Grange - Edwinstowe - 07.01.06

Thank you to Jane and Robert for hosting another wonderful meet - your hospitality is greatly appreciated.
A very, very big thank you to the rescue team: - Alison's husband, Mick and 'somebody I don't know' for changing the wheel of my trailer - even quicker than a 'Kwik-fit fitter'! Jane's soup was still hot.
See you next week
Audrey

re: Osberton - Scofton - 02.01.06

Happy new year to all of you at the Readyfield, many thanks for 2 fantastic days over Christmas, we all had brilliant days! and Harry who has only had 2 proper days hunting in total had the best experience of her life yesterday with all the compliments and of course Robert coming over to her at the end, making a big fuss of her and congratulating her on what she jumped, thank you so much, you all made a little girl very happy! regards Helen x

re: Church Farm - Caunton - 26.12.05

Boxing day well, how good was it?  FANTASTIC!!   Everyone in great Christmas spirit and ready for the off.  I was sober for a change!!  The weather held up well, we didn't notice a sharp shower whilst we were drinking tasty mulled wine provided by Mr and Mrs Mallalieu.  We set off over post and rails at a good pace, with good going and all horses going well.  On the arrival to Norwell,  Mr Ted Brown provided us with some SUPERB hedges that we sailed over.  What a Buzz!!  Thanks to everyone, hunt staff, farmers, organisers, helpers and everyone that turned out for your support and send off!!   Theresa xxx

re: Goldhill Farm - Edingley 20.11.05

We just wanted to thank you so very much for your hospitality, holding the hunt up and for looking after us when we arrived so late from Cheshire, a very big thank you to Rachel who was fantastic, driving us to help find our lorry, unloading horses, getting us to the half way mark and giving us that opportunity to hunt when we had traveled for 4 hours, Rachel you were an absolute star! oh and bringing my lorry back to the meet, thank you.

re: Cavendish Lodge - Kings Clipstone 06.11.05

I just wanted to say thank you for a tremendous day last Sunday, after such atrocious weather on the way, and then the trailer jacknifing in the mud, I was wondering why I bothered, but soon my questions were answered… I spent the rest of the afternoon in heaven and I have not quite come down! Thanks also to the Shaw Brownes for lending us their stunningly beautiful land with its inviting obstacles, and not forgetting the knights in shining armour who towed us out of misery at the end! It is great that the needs of pony and cob riders are now being addressed with such patience and generosity of spirit. Please do more like this because I’m hooked!

Thank you all again, see you very soon and I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as myself and my companions.

 All the best
