VICTORY IN SEASON OPENER FOR U15's.

Bank Holiday Monday saw the Under 15 side travel to Alford for a belated first game of the season. Selection was restricted due to the holiday but the team that represented the club proved far to strong for an Alford side who were similarly effected. The homeside batted first and were soon in trouble with Shaun Moore taking two early wickets. His good work was followed up by Scott Whitney who collected three victims. with Simon Thompson and Tom Horton both picking up one apiece, The game Alford side were run through for just 45 runs.

The Skegness reply was led by Skipper Ali Ainsworth (21 not out), whose powerful off drives proved too much for the homers. He was ably assisted by hard-hitting Alex Colman (10) who opened with Ali. Both Luke Odlin and Peter Houghton perished before Ali was joined by Simon Thompson who contributed 6 runs not out to take Skegness past the Alford total. A win for Skegness by 7 wickets and a good way to start the campaign.
