My particular interest in Irish Railway modelling centres around Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ), with a few items of Northern Ireland Railways (NIR) and Bord na Móna. I built one layout sometime ago called Dunmore & Fidlin, which is a fiddle yard to station to fiddle yard layout, based around a fictitious station somewhere in north Dublin in the late 1970's. The layout is built to 'OO' gauge standards. Dunmore & Fidlin has attended a number of exhibitions and did appear as Railway of the Month in the December 1996 edition of Railway Modeller. I am now working on a second layout, but this time it is to a more accurate standard. The new layout is called Templeross and is being built to 21mm gauge P4 standards.

The best way to approach this rather large subject is to break it all down into sections, so just click on the link you are interested in.
