Weather Satellite Experiments

I receive images from polar orbiting weather satellites. This year (2002) the Remote Imaging Group re-launched the RX2 - a kit built weather satellite receiver. I purchased one of these and am now receiving the images below. I use a home made QFH antenna. I still have a number of improvements to make to the system, mainly to do with improving the location of the antenna and replacing the coax feed to the antenna.

The following links have images of interest:
Four images of Greenland from the end of April and beginning of May 2002 showing the ice melt around the Greenland coast
My first usable pass of NOAA17 1107 UTC 25 June 2002
My first usable pass of NOAA17 1107 UTC 25 June 2002 processed using the vegatation enhancement
The first evening pass of NOAA17 2057 UTC 25 June 2002 - mostly black but daylight over Grenland
