The Bothy is a completely self-contained extension to the original Croft Bunkhouse, Skye's first Independent hostel. Situated in Portnalong on the west coast of Skye, overlooking the sea and mountains, this is an ideal location for all outdoor activities. The Cuillins at Glenbrittle and Sligachan are only a half hour drive away and there is a slipway half a mile away for launching boats onto Loch Harport. |

The comfortable kitchen/living room is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge, microwave and all crockery and utensils etc. The wc, whb and shower are also on the ground floor. The first floor has views over crofts to the sea and Portnalong harbour and is furnished with two alpine style sleeping shelves with mattresses for 6 persons (4 + 2), and also a drying room. There is room for camping on the croft adjacent to the Bothy for larger groups. The local Pub, which serves excellent bar meals, is 500m away and there is a local shop nearby. |
