Provision, Advice and Assistance with:

  • Identification of all BRITISH wildlife and wild flowers.  Especially birds, animals, butterflies, fish and insects.
  • Contact information on Wildlife hospitals, organisations and charities.
  • Current information on rare bird appearances and locations

Roger Goy created the Wildlife Information Service (now the Wildlife Helpline National Service) in 1990.  This voluntary service provides telephone information on all things to do with UK Wildlife, from identification of flora and fauna, location of rare birds, butterflies, animals and flowers through to contact information for specialist charities, organisations and welfare groups.

Since 1990 the service has received annual commendations in the Local Environmental Awards and was the individual winner in 1998.  Also runner up in Henry Ford Conservation and Environmental Awards 2000. Roger is a well known and respected knowledge base in all things natural.  Roger's exposure has included:

  • BBC Television BBC 1, BBC 2 and CH4
  • National Radio
  • Regular Local Radio features and phone-in
  • Regular column in local newspaper
  • Wildlife talks in local area
  • Wildlife walks in local area

Roger is also a member of  the RSPB, Butterfly Conservation, The Wildlife Trusts and Lincs Naturalists Union.
