BiographiesJennifer WhiteAlexJennifer White was born in Hawaii, criss-crossed America with her family as a youngster, was acting at the age of nine in New York City and at 14 landed her first film role in The Wild Life, the follow up to Fast Times At Ridgemont High, with Eric Stoltz and Chris Penn. At 16 Jennifer graduated from school and went to Eugene, Oregon on the west coast to study acting. She then moved to Seattle where she worked extensively in theatre before travelling in Europe and eventually settling in London in her early twenties. Being a passionate fan of independent film making, and a budding screenwriter herself, Jennifer soon hooked up with director Thomas Napper to make three short films that she had written. The Pineal Mouse debuted at the London Film Festival in 1994; Dead London in which she also stars appeared on Channel 4's Shooting Gallery series and at the London Film Festival in 1996 and the next year The Judas Sheep was produced by one of London's foremost independent production companies, The Oil Factory. Jennifer appeared in Puffa Fish which was shown at the BBC's Short Film Festival and 1999's Edinburgh Film Festival; she also starred as a man - complete with moustache - in The Pygmy Sagas directed by Alnoor Dewshi. After The Truth Game, Jennifer has been shooting a further three of her short film scripts.
Jennifer is Alex in The Truth Game, an "oddball, leftwing, hippy-chick-yoga-teacher". Her relationship with boyfriend Alan (Thomas Fisher) is protective and close; they enjoy an off the wall private language which makes them both laugh; while he's reserved, she's not afraid of telling the truth; while she's a party animal, he definitely isn't. |
