BiographiesWendy WasonKateWendy Wason left Glasgow University, went straight into a job as a hotel PR and then decided acting would be much more fun. So she rang the production company who produce the popular Taggart for Scottish TV and asked if she could audition! Her unconventional approach paid off - she started off as a featured extra, and has appeared several times in the series since. Wendy spent six months at the London Method Studios and landed a part opposite Dougray Scott in the short Magic Moments which was on distribution with the feature Ma Vie En Rose; she appeared with Scottish comedian Fred Macaulay in the TV comedy Life According To Fred and recently appeared at the National Theatre during the 100 Plays Of The Century season. Her first lead role is as Julia in the forthcoming Resurrecting Bill, a feature film about the cult comic Bill Hicks and directed by Faye Jackson and also features in Simon Rumley's Club Le Monde. She's also completed the short film Death Is Not An Option which was directed by Jon Levene. |
