The Cast

Two members of the cast - Stuart Laing and Tania Emery - were Rumley veterans, having already appeared in Strong Language. To find the other members of the cast for The Truth Game, adverts went into Production and Casting Report (PCR) resulting in nearly a thousand responses. Rumley read every single CV and, although he hadn't written the script at that stage, knew what kind of characters he was looking for.

"I was looking for people whose whole life hasn't just been acting," remarks Rumley, "so that they are able to engage in conversation and had something to say about things such as music or literature or art or museums or anything really. I think a lot of actors are quite insular in that they don't really seem to get beyond, well, acting."
