Never would I have imagined being in a Grateful Dead cover band.

Shock-horror to Deadheads, but after years of what I thought of at the time as "putting up" with listening to the Dead (having a boyfriend who loved them) it has amazed me to find myself as a singer in the Shotgun Ragtime Band for the last two years.

Yes, the penny finally dropped and I knew what it was to appreciate the Grateful Dead. I may never sing in the way that Donna did, but I'm certainly having fun singing.

I hope that I add something to the Shotgun Ragtime Band. One thing I do miss since joining the band on stage is the thrill of being in the audience. I certainly loved dancing to the band. I hope many more people will carry on the tradition.
