Sadly
it's true; our very own guitar-maestro has quit XTC.
It appears that
rumours circulating for some weeks now have finally
been confirmed by the Jarmusic newsletter; Dave
Gregory, increasingly dissatisifed with the band's
situation officially left the XTC in mid-March, 1997.
There has been no
offical announcement from the band regarding Dave's
departure, but there will be alterations made to the
ostensibly complete text of Neville Farmer's
book. It seems that all
of Dave's contributions will make it to the coming
album.
A key member of
XTC since March 1979, Dave will be much missed by
fans the world over; he is a fine musician and, by
all accounts, one of the nicest men in rock
