Fu Manchu

A fictional Chinese criminal genius created by Sax Rohmer (real name Arthur Sarsfield Ward, 1886-1959). The character appeared in 25 mystery novels, starting in 1913 with "Dr. Fu Manchu".

A number of films featuring the character, and his lawful Nemesis Nayland Smith, were made between 1932 and 1980 and he was portrayed on screen by such diverse actors as Peter Sellers, Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee (several times)
