Jaguar automobiles are among the cream of
English cars. Two models are mentioned in XTC songs, both
tied to other references to the 1960s.
MKII
(or Mark 2) The MKII (built between 1959 and 1968) was one of a long line of Jaguar saloon models made after WWII.
E Type (or XKE)
The Jaguar E Type (as shown to the right) was the English sports car of the 1960s. Built between 1961 and 1975, the E Type models were available as roadsters (convertibles) and coupes (including a 2+2), and some later models appeared with V12 engines.
