About The Club

Capenhurst Chess Club (formally Shell and more recently Urenco) was formed by a group of colleagues at Shell. The club (as Shell) merged with the separate Capenhurst Chess Club in the late 90s and later became known as Urenco to match the name of their new venue. The club have recently reverted back to the name Capenhurst.

Capenhurst Chess Club play in the Second Division of the Chester League.

The Venue

Capenhurst Chess Club play in a medium sized room with a bar in next room. As it is a pub a range of hard and soft drinks are available.
