Greetings From The President

I am pleased to report that the Chester & District League has has another eventful season with Caergwrle winning Division 1 for the first time, and Holywell winning the Knockout Competition for the second year running.
I would like to extend my thanks to the League officials for their unstinting support, and to Haydn Parry who has retired as Handbook editor. Liam Jefferies has taken on this task as well as his duties of League Conductor, which is much appreciated by us all.
A proposal to permit teams in Division 3 to consist 4 players instead of 5 was accepted at the League AGM.
Clubs are reminded that in order to qualify for grading and be eligible to play in the League more than 5 times players must be correctly registered with the ECF or WCU.
Clubs should notify the League Conductor and the Grading Officer by 31st October details of all their players, and whether they are registered with the ECF or the WCU. Please contact me on this matter if there are any queries/
Wishing you all a very enjoyable season of chess.
