almost entirely devoted to our family histories or you may want to read the other
bits.
Family Histories
We’ve divided this
into three parts. The first two parts
show all blood ties that we are aware of to either Jan or Steve where we have found that either Jan or
Steve and someone else have a common ancestor.
We use the usual sources for family history data, plus information
provided by relatives and people who have visited this website. If you can fill one of the gaps in our
knowledge, just use one of the hyperlinks to send a message, or if you have a
website with family history details that fit in with these that we could link
to, please let us know.
The third part
provides some detail of families who are connected, but with whom we have no
blood ties. Please follow this link for

Unless we say so,
all places mentioned are in England. If
we have not specified a county, please assume it to be Kent. Similarly, if we have not specified a town,
please assume it to be Dartford.

The other bits
Steve has a
long-standing interest in English folk music and dance. He has been a Morris dancer for over 30 years,
first with Ebor Morris Men, and more in more recent years with Wadard
Morris Men. Steve is a member of the consumer group, the Campaign
for Real Ale.
