II – Price of Corn and Regulated Weights of Bread, 1795

Turning again to the price of corn, we find that wheat ranged between 52s. and 120s. ; barley 30s. to 48s. ; oats 21s. to 34s.; rye 36s. to 80s. and beans 46s. to 55.  Comparing the values of wheat, barley and oats in September, 1795 with those for the same period in 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894 1895, we have this result:
