Summary of first years diving

I felt that I have learned quite a lot in my first year, although I believe that it is a case of “the more I know, the more that I know I don’t know”

As my title page points out I took up diving so that I would have something to do while on holidays. However as I was soon bitten by the bug all except 7 of my dives have been in the UK.

The pleasures have definitely been watching my SAC coming down as my control improved. A couple of minus points are the 2 free flows that I had early on. Because of this I decided to change my regs, as I had lost confidence in them.

Next year I will probably cut down on the shore dives and do more dives, especially with the UKRS team. There is no doubt that this year a number of my dives were just searching for experience.

I managed to cram in quite a few dives in the year, 92 in total. The table below shows a breakdown by type of dive, and the depths involved on a month by month basis.
