Following a holiday in the Canary Islands in the summer of 2000 I decided that I needed another holiday interest, other than lying around in the sun.

So during the autumn of 2000 I enrolled on a PADI open water course with the original intention of only diving while on holidays.

After all that wouldn’t be very expensive would it ?????

That was my first mistake, as I didn’t realise how addictive diving would be.
