Cheered on by a crowd of thousands, Lusitania left Liverpool on September 7th, 1907 at the start of her maiden voyage. After a brief stop at Queenstown, Ireland she arrived triumphantly at New York on September 13th, 1907.

H.M.H.S. Britannic

The Empress of Ireland

This print of the Empress of Ireland was published to mark the 85th Anniversary of her loss. On May 29th, 1914 she was in collision with the collier 'Storstad' resulting in the loss of 1,012 lives. The Empress sank off Farther Point, Canada.
