Reading Again is best suited to those with moderate language impairment.
However, it can be used in such a flexible way that those with widely
differing levels of language impairment may find it useful for working
on at least one skill. To be used independently, it requires the
ability to follow simplified speech delivered clearly and slowly
and the ability to read silently and understand a minimum of 2 word
phrases. The ability to use speech is not necessary although this
would limit some of the other uses of the material.
Wherever possible, clients with dyslexia/aphasia are advised to
discuss the suitability of Reading Again in their case, with a speech
and language therapist. However, where this is not possible, any
questions concerning suitability are likely to be answered by experimenting
with the sample package. Please feel free to contact the author
if further advice is required.
Please note that a tape recorder is required to use Reading Again.
