| Gifts from the Ocean are a range of items that are all made from things found on the ocean shore. Their creation came about one summer, as my partner Joe and myself, were living a very simple life close to the beach. I have a love of the ocean and all things natural, and while walking on the shoreline, found beautiful pebbles, shells, pieces of driftwood, wonderful rocks containing crystals, and flat slate pebbles in amazing aesthetic shapes. I called these my "Gifts from the Ocean"
With just a hand operated drill, jute string, small pieces of mirror, a tube of glue and of course, our imagination, we started to create. 
These wonderful intricate hanging sculptures (featured below) or "beach chandeliers" as Joe called them as they were being created, are fascinating to watch, as they gently turn.
They each have a different character, but all seem to have a nautical look. None of them were planned. Each growing organically as it was being made.
The creation took a while, with Joe drilling each stone, (some with as many as six holes) all with a hand held drill and the stones wedged between his feet. Oh! for the simple life !!
