THE COASTAL PATH AROUND CORNWALL
A STAGE BY STAGE APPROACH

In recent years we decided that we would attempt to walk the south west coastal path around Cornwall. Because of work commitments, we chose to walk the route in stages, allocating usually 4 or 5 days to each stage.

We decided that we could walk the area down to Fowey as and when since living in Plymouth, e could return home at the end of a walk with no difficulties. For the remaining sections it would be better to base ourselves nearer the section and then walk for a few days and stay in B&B or with friends.

The Sections we have managed to date are :
Plymouth to Polruan/Fowey based in Plymouth
Fowey to Falmouth - based in B&B at St Austell and Porthscatho
Falmouth to Penzance - based in B&B at Helston
Penzance to St Ives- Based in B&B Penzance
Hayle to Newquay - based at Falmouth with friends. For this section of four walks completed over the August bank holiday weekend in 2000, the links are:
