Who.
The name is William Richard Terence Wildego, but you can call me Terry. I was Born in Camberwell, London, England, in 1937. This means I am one of the fastest growing groups using the internet in the UK, the over sixties, although I've been on the net for about four years. Married, I live with my wife Diana in Northamptonshire, UK.
Diana was born in Cowes on the Isle of Wight, but I must pander to feminine sensibility and refrain from mentioning the year. We were married in 1960.
We have two offspring (too old to be called children). Kim, the elder, lives in Huntingdon with her partner and Sean lives in Okinawa with his wife, Tracey, who is in the American Air Force. Why.
So why a Web Page? Well, it is something I have meant to do for some time and the spur has been the website above. Also, why not?
Will my life be richer for it? I have been retired for a year and I can now invest more time in my hobbies, although less able to afford them. This web site and the re-building of my 1959 350cc Jawa motorcycle, are at present my main projects now that our long awaited retirement trip, with our caravan, round Europe, is behind us. It's a bit cold in the garage at the moment, so this site gets priority!
Another hope is that my presence on the 'net' will advertise my somewhat rare surname and result in some response from other surfing Wildegos'. My only results from searching so far are two graves in an East London nonconformist cemetery, an obscure American author, and myself.
To cut it short, like most other
personal Web Sites, it's an ego trip; and lets face it, as you
can see, I have a particularly wild ego.
