04' Abandoned to Adventure Information Pack - Northcoast - Ex-change

Project Location: Moldova

Team Leader: Richard Morrison

Dates: 2nd - 18th July

Meeting: Friday @ Exodus DTC

With both Romania and Russian influences Moldova has a very special character. Balti is the second largest city and it is there where a church has been planted. This church plant is by no means a small idea. Before there were 20 members they started to build a building which will hold 1,000 people with the vision that it will be full three time a weekend. What faith!

Now this church is also planting churches in the villages around the city. This team will be based in one of these, in a village called Ivonovca, helping to build a ‘House of Prayer' (Church Building). Along side the building work you will be leading a kid's club for the many children of the village linking them with the body of believers there.

Just imagine rural Moldova in the summer, what an adventure.

Be part of a tour of Western Europe using music, dance and drama as tools for evangelism and the encouragement of local believers. This team requires commitment for rehearsals etc. but is an amazing experience not only to use and develop your gifts to minister but also to get alongside others and share Christ through 1 to 1 contact.

‘On Tour Europe' will travel to two locations in Germany followed by one in Holland

Project Location: Hungary/Romania

Team Leader: Andrew Mullan

Dates: 1st - 17th July

Meeting: Saturday @ Ballymoney

Personal Contribution: £345.00

Team Code: NW/F/AM

Experience two cultures in Eastern Europe. Your team will fly to Budapest and from there head east to Bodrog, a small Hungarian town. The plan is to be involved in practical work at a centre which cares for children and families in need. You will also have the opportunity to share Christ in surrounding villages through music and sports activities.

Then on to Romania next stop Jibou where you will join with local believers to run a 5 day kids club for the children of the town.

This is sure to be a great cultural experience as well as an obvious opportunity to share your faith with people in great need.

The Late Starters

This new discipleship option is designed for those who have commitments to other organisations such as the Boys/Girls Brigade. It will be slightly different to the normal format for teams.

The major difference, in the next three teams, is that weekly team meetings do not start until the last week in March and there is an extra residential from the 14th - 17th of April. You need to be totally committed to the April residential. This residential will be held in the Exodus Residential Centre, Colerine. The cost of which is included in your Personal Contribution.

Application and interview dates are the same as any other team.

The first 25% of your Personal Contribution will be due before your team begins. Your Team Leader will be in touch with you in relation to this.

Spend the first week of this project just up the road in L'Derry working alongside Cornerstone City Fellowship. Teaming up with an American group you will run a kids club in the mornings and an event aimed at teenagers in the evenings.

After a hard week's work this group will ‘retreat' to Galway for four days camping. A great opportunity to be together and enjoy the 'craic'.
