Clear blue skies during the day changed to worsening "weather", as Tim opened his concert on the Atelier AT90SL with the Thunder & Lightning Polka with Keith arranging flashes of lightning!

Setting the scene with a nice red background, Tim then played us When Joanna Loves Me. -He followed this with one of the writers' much loved tunes: The Nearness Of You, played as a slow ballad.

To liven things up, we had a selection of Theatre style music such as The Typewriter - A Nightingale Sang in Berkely Square - The Trolleysong & The Tiger Rag. As a contrast, some light classical music in the shape of Cavalleriana Rusticana with a lovely flute and strings. Set to a myriad of different colours, Tim included one of his favourite tunes, the Organ Hoe Down by Harold Smart.

Yesterdays Dreams - one of Tim's own compositions - was next. When Tim is around, you can be assured of a good laugh! "When everybody had turkey (at Christmas), I had Cap(e)on", referring to his blue sparkling outfit which was duly handed to a member of the audience for safekeeping during the first half.

A very lively samba followed before Tim closed the first half with the theme tune The Song That I Sing from the TV series "We'll Meet Again".

We had a terrific turnout for Tim's concert, by now members and guests alike were ready for the break with refreshments (he particularly enjoyed Ann's tea!!!) and the raffle, whilst Tim's Mum was giving out promotional leaflets of Tim's musical weekends and greetings cards. Opening the second half, and showing off his new mauve sequinned outfit, he began with Have You Met Miss Jones?

Well, Tim's German has certainly improved as he introduced a couple of tunes from my home country; translated into English they were Such Love Can Only Happen Once and Wonderland At Night. Keith created a magical soft background for these two tunes.

Next one of A.L. Webber's compositions Any Dream Will Do from Joseph & The Technicolour Dreamcoat, showing off the great organ sounds on the Atelier. With Olive & Vic celebrating their Diamond Wedding this month (Congratulations - you both deserve a medal!) - Tim dedicated Too Young - I Won't Send Roses & Crazy to both of them.

Telling us a little story of folk sometimes complaining about "little" medleys - Tim answered this with A Little Rumba and Little Serenade!, a Cha Cha - and Keith added "little" red spots in the background! A lot of us will remember the character Willy Wonker from the Chocolate Factory and the magical tune Pure Imagination.

If you haven't already seen the film Out Of Africa with Meryl Streep and Robert Redford, then this beautiful piece of music might just tempt you. It's a sad, but lovely story.

Kenny Ball & His Jazzmen are well known to many of us, hence the Muskrat Ramble concluded Tim's program.

His wit and humour were as sharp as ever, much to the enjoyment of the audience. His musicianship is outstanding. Thanks Tim for making it such an enjoyable evening.

Why not come along to a Basildon Keyboard Club Concert, you will be made very welcome, have a great evenings entertainment, a complimentary cup of tea or coffee with biscuits and of course experience the delights of live music played on top of the range electronic organs & keyboards by the best players.
